Manteca is a friendly city located an hour from the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento. Manteca's slogan is "The Family City", and it lies at a crossroads of major highways and railroads. Large construction projects are underway or planned in an attempt to establish Manteca as a regional shopping and entertainment center. Projects include the now finished Big League Dreams Sports Park, The planned Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley lifestyle mall, an outdoor strip mall, a possible future performing arts center and convention center, the newly finished Stadium Center, and many corporate/chain hotels.

Zinfest is the ultimate celebration of wine. Held at the Lodi Lake in May, this festival serves as a focal point of all things wine-related as well as arts, crafts and specialty items.

Stockton Arena is home to the Stockton Thunder hockey team! Their first game was held on December 10, 2005 in front of a sold out crowd of 10,117.

The Haggin Museum, an art and history museum, has been referred to by Sunset magazine as “one of the undersung gems of California.” For 70 years, The Haggin Museum has acquired, maintained, and exhibited two important types of collections — one composed of works of fine art and the other devoted to area history.

In 1913, Angelina, at the age of 18 left her province of Genova and traveled to San Francisco. On December 27th, 1976 Angelinas first opened it's doors to the public. The concept for the restaurant evolved over many years based on the fine Genovese cooking handed down to us by Angelina.
